Your safari begins in Arusha after breakfast as you depart for the world famous Serengeti National Park. The journey passes through the scenic Ngorongoro Conservation Area with beautiful views of the highlands and vast plains before entering the Serengeti ecosystem. Serengeti remains one of Tanzania’s greatest tourism highlights offering game viewing throughout the year. Lions, elephants, giraffes, cheetahs, leopards, hyenas, zebras, and wildebeest are just part of what makes this park so special.
The Serengeti is also home to the Great Migration, one of the most famous wildlife movements in the world. Depending on the season, travelers can witness river crossings, calving season and also predator actions across the plains. Your guide will explore different habitats, from open grasslands and rocky kopjes to acacia woodlands, following fresh animal tracks and recent wildlife sightings. For many visitors, the Serengeti is the heart of a Tanzania safari.
Pause for a picnic lunch at a scenic location before continuing your afternoon exploration.
