Travelers explore three of Tanzania’s most iconic wildlife destinations Tarangire, Serengeti and the Ngorongoro Crater before experiencing the rich cultural heritage of Stone Town and the pristine beaches of Zanzibar. Your safari adventure begins in Arusha after breakfast as you depart for Tarangire National Park, famous for its large elephant population, and huge baobab trees. It is one of the best parks for travelers who enjoy a more relaxed safari experience with fewer crowds and rich wildlife moments.
In the dry season, the Tarangire River becomes the only source of drinking water for many kilometers around. Because of this, large herds of elephants come to Tarangire, making Tarangire the home to the largest population of elephants in Northern Tanzania for most of the year (especially June - October and December - March). Elephants are not at all intimidated by visitors to the park, and they often come quite close to cars. This is completely safe, since elephants have no enemies in their natural nature they are naturally curious and unafraid.
Tarangire is also a beautiful park for photography, with landscapes that feel wide, and full of character. As you journey through the park in your private safari vehicle, your experienced guide will help you uncover the stories of the wilderness while searching for remarkable wildlife. Keep your camera ready to capture the wild beauty of Tanzania's Great Park.
Then pause for a mid-day picnic lunch surrounded by the peaceful sounds of nature, before continuing your afternoon game drive.
